    Will my USB Floppy drive work on the Macintosh?

    Answer:
    There are various USB FDD models. If your USB FDD shipped without a Driver CD-ROM for Macintosh, your USB FDD is the Windows model. The Windows model does not support Macintosh.

    Will the USB FDD Macintosh Model work with the iBook or the Power Mac G4 with Mac OS 8.6?

    Answer:
    Yes, the Macintosh Model and the "SNAP-ON" Color Cover Model work with iBook or Power Mac G4.
    If your USB FDD is the Macintosh Model, please update your "YE USB-FDU" driver to Ver 2.0.0 .

    Answer:
    Yes, the Macintosh Model and the "SNAP-ON" Color Cover Model work with Mac OS 9.0.

    If your USB FDD is the Macintosh Model, please update your "YE USB-FDU" driver to Ver 2.0.0 .

  4. Question:
    Will the USB FDD Macintosh Model work with PACE's USB Floppy Enabler?

    Answer:
    The "SNAP-ON" Color Model supports PACE Anti-Piracy's USB Floppy Enabler Ver 2.0 or later. The other USB FDD models do not support this function. The USB Floppy Enabler is a special driver needed to install software that uses diskette-based copy protection or key diskettes. Please refer to the PACE Anti-Piracy web site at http://www.paceap.com for more information.

  5. Question:
    Why do I get the message "This disk is unreadable by this computer." with some of my disks?

    Answer:
    The USB FDD supports Macintosh Formatted 1.4 MB, DOS formatted 1.44 MB and DOS formatted 720 KB diskettes. Be aware that the USB FDD does not support Mac formatted 800 KB diskettes.

  6. Question:
    Why do I get the message "The USB device cannot operate because it needs more power than is available."?

    Answer:
    Be sure to use a self-powered USB hub with AC adapter, if you use USB hubs. Do not connect the USB FDD to the USB port on the Mac keyboard. Please connect the USB FDD to the USB ports on the computer.

  7. Question:
    What update do I need for my iMac Rev. A with Mac OS 8.1

    Answer:
    The USB FDD driver for Macintosh does not support Mac OS 8.1 and Mac OS 8.5.

    If your iMac has Mac OS 8.1 or Mac OS 8.5, please update to Mac OS 8.6 or later. More information about updating your iMac is available on the web at http://www.apple.com/swupdates/ or Mac OS 8.6 Update.

  8. Question:
    Why does my new Power Mac G4 freeze at startup if a USB FDD is connected?

    Answer:
    There seems to be a problem with some versions of Power Mac G4, iBook, and PowerBook running Mac OS 9.0.2 or Mac OS 9.0.3. See Apple Computer's Tech Info Library for more information.

    To work around the problem: unplug the USB FDD from your Mac before startup. After the Mac finishes startup, plug the USB FDD back in.

    Solution:
    Install Mac OS 9 Update (9.0.4) using the Software Update control panel. You can also download it from Apple Software Updates at http://www.apple.com/swupdates/.

    Answer:
    Yes, the USB FDD supports the Power Mac G4 Cube.

    Will the USB FDD work with the Mac OS 9.1 and 9.2?

    Answer:
    Yes, the Macintosh Model and the "SNAP-ON" Color Cover Model work with Mac OS 9.1 with our Mac Driver Ver 2.0.0.

    And our USB Floppy Drive also work with Built-in Mac OS 9.1 or 9.2 driver that made by Apple Computer. So, just connect USB FDD to your Mac, our USB Floppy Drive will work without any additional driver installation. If you already installed our driver and want choice the Built-in driver, disable "YE USB-FDU" with Extension Manager.

    Yes, the USB FDD supports the Power Book G4 titanium.

  12. Question:
    Will the USB FDD work with the Mac OS X?

    Answer:
    Yes, the USB FDD work with the Mac OS X 10.1 standard built-in driver. Therefore, no driver installation is necessary. Do not install driver from the driver CD. Just plug your USB FDD into the Mac and insert formatted floppy disk, a removable drive icon will appear on the desktop.

    If you are using Mac OS X 10.0 please update your OS to 10.1. USB Floppy Disk Drive dose not work on Mac OS X 10.0.

  13. Question:
    Why does my USB FDD work very slowly under Mac OS X?

    Answer:
    This is a known issue. DOS diskette support on Mac OS X has not
    been optimized yet. This should be fixed in a future version of the
    operating system.

    Will my USB Floppy drive work on Windows 98?

    Answer:
    There are various USB FDD models. If your USB FDD shipped with a Driver CD-ROM for iMac Ver 1.1 or Ver 1.2, your USB FDD is the Macintosh Model.

    The Macintosh Model does not support Windows 98 and Windows CE. The Windows Model and the "SNAP-ON" Color Model support Windows 98 and Windows CE.

    Answer:
    You cannot boot your computer from the USB FDD, unless your computer includes a special BIOS that supports this feature. Some recent notebook computers support booting from the USB FDD.

    Yes, the Windows Model and the "SNAP-ON" Color Cover Model work with the Windows 2000 storage driver. Therefore, no driver installation is necessary.

    Just plug your USB FDD into a Windows 2000 PC; Windows will detect the USB FDD and install the necessary drivers automatically.

    Answer:
    If you have no Host Windows PC, Click here. You can install the driver using an Internet connection directly to your handheld PC.

    Yes, the Windows Model and the "SNAP-ON" Color Cover Model work with the Windows Millennium Edtion standard built-in driver. Therefore, no driver installation is necessary. Just plug your USB FDD into a Windows Millennium Edtion PC; Windows will detect the USB FDD and install the necessary drivers automatically.
